Description:

  • Frequence is seeking a Backend Engineer to join one of their cross-functional Agile development teams.
  • The role involves collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers to build scalable, high-quality software while continuously improving systems and processes.
  • Responsibilities include designing, developing, and optimizing backend systems, writing clean and maintainable code, debugging production issues, and contributing to the development of APIs and services.
  • The engineer will participate in architectural decisions, improve observability and system performance, and take ownership of features or systems.
  • Engagement with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives is also required.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience in backend or full-stack software development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language such as Go, C#, Java, Kotlin, or Rust is necessary.
  • Knowledge of software design patterns and API development (REST, gRPC) is required.
  • Experience with databases (SQL or NoSQL) and distributed systems is essential.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills are a must.
  • The ability to write and review technical documentation is required.
  • Candidates should be comfortable working in a collaborative, Agile environment and possess excellent communication skills to discuss technical concepts with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
