Description:
Fuse Universal is seeking a Backend Engineer to build and maintain scalable, secure, and performant systems for their SaaS platform.
The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features and architectural improvements.
The Product-Technology team consists of Product, Tech, and QA functions, with squads owning specific areas of the product guided by KPIs.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable back-end services and APIs, writing clean and maintainable code, optimizing system performance, collaborating with front-end teams, participating in code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements:
Proficiency with Ruby on Rails is required for this position.
A strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and OOP principles is necessary.
A computer science degree is preferred.
Candidates should have experience with relational databases and API design.
Proficiency in cloud platforms, such as AWS, is essential.
Knowledge of distributed systems is required.
Experience with agile development methodologies is necessary.
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools is expected.
Desired skills include experience with NoSQL databases, knowledge of event-driven and serverless architectures, and a background in performance optimization.
