Description:

  • Fuse Universal is seeking a Backend Engineer to build and maintain scalable, secure, and performant systems for their SaaS platform.
  • The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features and architectural improvements.
  • The Product-Technology team consists of Product, Tech, and QA functions, with squads owning specific areas of the product guided by KPIs.
  • Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable back-end services and APIs, writing clean and maintainable code, optimizing system performance, collaborating with front-end teams, participating in code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with Ruby on Rails is required for this position.
  • A strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and OOP principles is necessary.
  • A computer science degree is preferred.
  • Candidates should have experience with relational databases and API design.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms, such as AWS, is essential.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems is required.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies is necessary.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools is expected.
  • Desired skills include experience with NoSQL databases, knowledge of event-driven and serverless architectures, and a background in performance optimization.
