Remote Backend Engineer (Data-Heavy)

Description:

• Design, develop, and optimize robust, scalable backend systems using .NET technologies.
• Handle massive volumes of data efficiently by implementing data storage, retrieval, and processing mechanisms.
• Structure and optimize an extensive SQL Server database for optimal performance and scalability.
• Continuously monitor and optimize backend systems and database queries for speed, efficiency, and scalability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to data management and backend systems.
• Stay updated with the latest data-related technologies and evaluate their potential for system improvement.
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand objectives and translate them into technical solutions leveraging data insights.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in backend development using .NET technologies like C#, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework.
• Deep understanding of SQL Server, including database design, T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and database design principles, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Python for scripting, data processing, or machine learning tasks is a significant advantage.
• Experience with Elasticsearch or other distributed search and analytics engines is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills at both the application and database levels.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and explaining technical concepts.
• Ability to understand business objectives and translate them into technical requirements and solutions.
