Remote Backend Engineer

Description:

• The engineer will be responsible for building high-volume services that are reliable at scale and developing big data solutions using open-source frameworks.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in Java, Kotlin, or Scala development.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries and designing database tables is required.
• Python experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of modern design patterns is necessary.
• Experience with Microservice style architecture is essential.
• Familiarity with cloud hosting solutions such as Kubernetes and Istio is required.
• Candidates should have experience using GIT.
• Knowledge of writing effective unit and functional test cases using test frameworks like Junit is necessary.
• Comfort in a Linux/UNIX environment is required.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or other cloud infrastructure is essential.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases, such as Cassandra, is preferred.
