Description:
CAT Labs is a technology startup focusing on digital asset recovery and cyber defense tools for government and private sectors to combat crypto crime.
The team consists of experts in blockchain security, cryptographers, former U.S. Department of Defense computer scientists, ethical hackers, and U.S. Department of Justice investigators.
The flagship software tool, Recovery CAT, automates the discovery and recovery of digital assets in criminal investigations and civil cases.
The Backend Engineer will be responsible for developing new features, testing, and maintaining code for mission-critical products.
The position requires working in a fully remote environment with opportunities for advancement and work-life balance flexibility.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of software development experience with at least 3 years in Python backend development.
Proficiency in working with large TypeScript codebases, large files, and multithreaded software.
Experience with continuous integration/deployment pipelines, Linux environments, message queues, Docker containers, and cloud deployments.
Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and working in early-stage startup environments.
Strong understanding of OS fundamentals, optical character recognition, and natural language processing applications is preferred.
Familiarity with blockchain integration and digital forensics is a plus.
