Remote Backend Engineer for AI (Golang)

Description:

• As a Backend Engineer, you will help build features, design and implement API methods, and improve the performance and reliability of our systems.
• You will work on a platform that serves over twenty trillion feature flags daily.
• The core technologies used include Golang, Redis, and NATS.
• You will be part of a you-build-it-you-run-it culture, where all developers may be responsible for supporting applications in production, including on-call duties.
• Off-hours on-call is optional and compensated in addition.

Requirements:

• You must have demonstrable experience with server-side web development, such as in Java, Scala, Ruby, Python, or Golang.
• Experience in building scalable application features on top of a large language model (LLM) like OpenAI, Anthropic, or Bedrock is required.
• You should have experience in building RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with computer science fundamentals, including data structures, distributed systems, concurrency, and threading, is necessary.
• A commitment to working in a communicative and collaborative environment is essential.
• You should write code that is easily understood by others, focusing on maintainability.
• You must hold yourself and others to a high standard when working with production systems.
• Valuing high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices is important.
• Familiarity with networking technologies such as TCP, HTTP, websockets, and server-sent events is required.

• The compensation scheme ranges from $127,000 to $204,000, based on geography and level of experience.
