Remote Backend Engineer (German Fluency) (F/M/X)

Description:

• Drive the implementation of new features and improvements to the platform
• Build complex & high scalable technical solutions in cooperation with product management
• Collaborate with various teams to ship new components and features
• Design and develop APIs for the backend and business logic
• Draft architectural decisions and ensure reliable products
• Collaborate through paired programming, code reviews, and knowledge sharing sessions
• Adopt agile practices for efficient product development

Requirements:

• 2+ years of Java programming experience; Python, HTML, or Javascript experience is a plus
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging complex software
• 2+ years of experience with RESTful APIs, Spring
• Enterprise development experience in a project-based environment
• Ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Analytical skills to find innovative solutions
• Anticipate customer needs and concerns
• Adaptability to new challenges and technologies
• Strong prioritization and deadline management skills
• Proficiency in German and English (C1 level)

Nice to have:

• Experience with Mateo and MSG Nexinsure Connector
• Familiarity with caching and queuing technologies (Redis, Rabbit), InsureTechKnowledge
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker containers
• Knowledge of NoSQL Database (Postgres)
