Description:

The Backend Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust backend systems.
The role involves writing clean, efficient, and reusable code with a focus on performance and scalability.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams including product, frontend, and data is essential to deliver seamless user experiences.
The engineer will develop and maintain APIs, services, and tools that serve both internal and external users.
Participation in system design, code reviews, and architectural discussions is expected.
The engineer will troubleshoot production issues and ensure the stability and security of backend services.
Proactively identifying technical debt and performance bottlenecks and driving solutions is a key responsibility.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 2+ years of professional experience in backend development.
Proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Node.js, Python, Go, or Java is required.
A solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles is necessary.
Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture is essential.
Strong knowledge of relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL and caching systems like Redis is required.
Candidates should be comfortable working in an Agile environment with rapid iteration and deployment cycles.
Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset are necessary.
Familiarity with AWS and other cloud-based services is required.
Prior experience working in a fast-moving product startup is preferred.
Experience working with Websockets for real-time communication is necessary.
Exposure to data analytics stacks like Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery is a plus.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes is a plus.
