Holycode is seeking an ambitious and experienced Backend Engineer to work full-time on the Swiss table reservation system Foratable.
Foratable, developed by Lunchgate AG, is a revolutionary reservation system that enhances guest experiences by changing how restaurants manage, market, and sell their capacity.
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will join an international team of software engineers to create the next-generation platform, implement new features, and enhance the product.
This role offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact platform and product development.
Responsibilities include building new features with the product team, maintaining and improving existing functionality, writing unit tests and functional tests for added functionality, supporting the design and implementation of architectural principles, and closely interacting with product managers and software, test automation, and DevOps engineers.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
A good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and data types is required.
Experience with service-oriented architectures (SOA) and event sourcing is necessary.
Proficiency in Java (Spring) is required.
Experience in modern PHP (8.3) and Symfony is a plus.
Familiarity with AWS is a plus.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub actions) is a plus.
Knowledge of the functional programming paradigm and experience with a language like Haskell, Scala, or Rust is a plus.
Proficiency in both written and spoken English is required.
