Description:

  • The Backend Engineer will drive new feature delivery end-to-end through implementation, launch, and continuous iteration.
  • Responsibilities include writing and maintaining a full unit test suite, managing deployments, setting up CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating in an agile environment to translate business requirements into actionable development code.
  • The role involves writing testable code, participating in code reviews, contributing to engineering design sessions, balancing speed and quality, and participating in the interview process to raise the technical bar.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 4+ years of professional software development experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
  • An Upper-Intermediate English level (both written and spoken) is required.
  • Experienced backend development using technologies such as Typescript, NodeJS, Rest API, GraphQL (Apollo Server, Apollo Federation), Gitlab CI, Github Actions, Circle CI, PostgreSQL, MySQL, AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), RDS, Cognito, SES, SQS, SNS, Terraform, Docker, and Micro-service architecture is essential.
  • Familiarity with React and React Native is a plus.
  • Candidates should be comfortable operating in a sometimes ambiguous, fast-changing environment with rapid iteration cycles.
  • A track record of managing feature requests with realistic timelines is necessary.
  • Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies, including working within and leading Agile teams, is required.
  • Candidates should be comfortable writing supporting documentation and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
