Remote Backend Engineer (Node.js)

• As a Backend Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA professionals.
• You will participate in product planning from discovery to deployment, contributing your input throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Your responsibilities will include developing and enhancing features, APIs, and ensuring a customer-centric experience through quality engineering.

Requirements:

• You must have strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript best practices, along with experience in at least one other server-side language.
• A deep understanding of SQL, particularly with PostgreSQL, is required for handling query optimization, data migrations, and database modeling.
• You should possess a solid grasp of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns, with experience in building and extending classes.
• Experience in designing scalable systems to manage rapid growth and increasing demands is essential.
• Proven expertise in optimizing systems for high transaction volumes, handling concurrency, idempotency, and performance under load is necessary.
• You must be skilled in building APIs, including input validation, JWT tokens, and ensuring security and scalability through queue-based systems.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer is required.
