Remote Backend Engineer (Node.js/AWS/K8s) - Infra Engineering

Description:

• The Infra Engineering team at Deel was established to support engineering growth and develop a platform for product teams to accelerate the delivery of business value.
• The team operates at the intersection of DevOps and engineering, focusing on enforcing standards, creating tooling, maintaining internal libraries, providing architectural guidance, and owning high-loaded core services.
• The role involves participating in product planning from discovery to deployment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing new features and APIs, improving products, and ensuring a top-notch customer experience.
• The position requires a balance of 70% Engineering and 30% DevOps responsibilities, offering freedom with accountability.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience with Node.js and a strong proficiency in it.
• Proficiency in AWS or similar cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.
• Experience with databases like Postgres/Mysql and messaging systems like RabbitMq/Nats/Kafka.
• Strong system design and problem-solving skills to address unknown challenges.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate projects with multiple teams.
• Hands-on troubleshooting ability and readiness for challenges.
