Description:
Deel is seeking a Backend Engineer proficient in Node.js and TypeScript to join their global team dedicated to facilitating worldwide hiring for businesses.
The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA’s to develop new features, API’s, and enhance existing products.
Responsibilities include participating in product planning from discovery to deployment, ensuring a white-glove experience for customers, and contributing to all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer and expert knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript, SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, ORM libraries like Sequelize, and AWS Services such as S3, EKS, SNS, and SQS.
The role involves designing, coding, testing, and maintaining applications, embracing a collaborative remote-first work culture, and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Additional desirable skills include experience with SaaS products, serverless app architecture on AWS, TypeScript, distributed teams, and FinTech knowledge.
Requirements:
Expert knowledge of Node.js and at least one other server-side language.
Proficiency in JavaScript syntax.
Strong understanding of SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, and ORM libraries like Sequelize.
Familiarity with AWS Services such as S3, EKS, SNS, and SQS; knowledge of GCP or Azure is a plus.
Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
Ability to design, code, test, and maintain applications using specified technologies.
