Description:
Deel is seeking a Backend Engineer proficient in Node.js and TypeScript to join their global team dedicated to facilitating worldwide hiring for businesses.
The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QAβs to develop new features, APIs, and enhance existing products.
Responsibilities include participating in product planning from discovery to deployment, ensuring a white-glove experience for customers, and contributing to the continuous improvement of industry-leading products.
The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript syntax, SQL, NoSQL (especially PostgreSQL and ORM libraries like Sequelize), and AWS Services (S3, EKS, SNS, SQS).
A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer is required.
The role involves designing, coding, testing, and maintaining applications, embracing a collaborative remote-first work culture, and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Additional desirable skills include experience with SaaS products on major cloud vendors, serverless app architecture on AWS, TypeScript, working in distributed teams, and knowledge of FinTech.
Requirements:
Expert knowledge of Node.js and at least one other server-side language.
Proficiency in JavaScript syntax.
Strong understanding of SQL, NoSQL (especially PostgreSQL and ORM libraries like Sequelize), and AWS Services (S3, EKS, SNS, SQS).
Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
Ability to design, code, test, and maintain applications using the specified technologies.
