Description:
Deel is seeking a Backend Engineer proficient in Node.js and TypeScript to join their global team dedicated to facilitating worldwide hiring for businesses.
The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QAβs to develop new features, APIs, and enhance existing products.
Responsibilities include participating in product planning from discovery to deployment, ensuring a white-glove experience for customers, and contributing to all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer and expert knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript, SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, ORM libraries like Sequelize, and AWS Services.

Additional brownie points for experience with SaaS products, serverless app architecture on AWS, TypeScript, distributed teams, and FinTech knowledge.
Requirements:
Expert knowledge of Node.js and at least one other server-side language.
Proficiency in JavaScript syntax and database management including SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, and ORM libraries like Sequelize.
Firm understanding of AWS Services such as S3, EKS, SNS, and SQS, with potential knowledge of GCP or Azure.
Minimum 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
Ability to design, code, test, and maintain applications, thrive in a remote-first work culture, communicate complex ideas, and take a business-focused approach to software development.
