Description:

  • Design, develop, implement, and debug a high performance, reliable, and highly scalable backend infrastructure for Escape Velocity
  • Collaborate with other developers to integrate online backend features in the game
  • Work with industry-standard engines like Unity and UE5 to fulfill project's technical requirements
  • Identify and overcome technical and developmental risks/obstacles
  • Provide feedback to leads regarding task timelines

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience designing robust, high performance scalable systems or solid experience with C++
  • Working knowledge of backend and game side languages
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google cloud), and Unix-like operating systems
  • Commitment to code quality, documentation, and testing procedures
  • Ability to learn new technologies and work efficiently under deadlines
  • Realtime multiplayer peer to peer or client server experience
  • Shipped one or more game titles
  • Experience developing for game consoles is a plus
