• The Podcast Mission is the product and technology team at Spotify dedicated to building tools for podcast creators.
• The team develops and maintains products that provide an outstanding creator experience, enabling podcasters to host, build, distribute, monetize, and grow their podcasts.
• Tools also help podcasters continuously understand and engage with their audience.
• The role involves solving complex backend challenges related to the publishing platform for enterprise customers.
• Responsibilities include designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining Ruby on Rails applications and Java microservices that provide content management capabilities such as uploading, thumbnails, transcripts, clips, polls, trailers, and other interactivity features.
• Collaboration with other engineers, product owners, designers, and other engineering teams is essential to identify and tackle sophisticated problems.
• The position offers opportunities to embrace and learn best practices and design patterns, as well as gain expertise in data engineering.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and experience working with Java microservices is required.
• Candidates should be passionate about creating end-to-end user experiences and have a keen interest in software architecture, encompassing the frontend, backend, and the APIs that connect them.
• Professional experience in an environment dedicated to product development is necessary.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality code that is well-tested is expected.

• The United States base range for this position is $122,716 - $175,308 plus equity.
