Description:
The "Podcast Mission" is the product and technology team at Spotify responsible for building tools for podcast creators.
The team focuses on delivering a great creator experience, allowing podcasters to host, create, and distribute their episodes while monetizing their content and engaging with their audience.
The role of Backend Engineer involves expanding the enterprise podcasting solution, Megaphone, by developing critical integrations with broader Spotify technology.
Responsibilities include enhancing enterprise creator capabilities through crafting and implementing enterprise-grade backend service solutions in partnership with other teams at Spotify.
The engineer will contribute to the mission of unifying Spotify’s creator technologies.
The position requires building and maintaining critical integrations using Kubernetes, Ruby on Rails, and Java.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 2+ years of working experience as a Backend Engineer with Ruby on Rails or Java, and a willingness to work with both technologies.
Experience with GraphQL, gRPC, Kubernetes, GCP, Postgres, and Bigtable is considered a plus.
Applicants should have experience developing interfaces to both internal and external services.
A curiosity about the podcast industry and a desire to build products that address podcasters’ biggest challenges is essential.
