Description:
Remedy Product Studios is a rapidly scaling technology company that specializes in working with and investing in prominent start-ups and brands to build and scale their digital products.

The Backend Engineer will drive new feature delivery end-to-end through implementation, launch, and continuous iteration.
Responsibilities include writing and maintaining a full unit test suite, managing deployments, and setting up CI/CD pipelines.
The role involves collaborating in an agile environment to understand business requirements and translating those needs into actionable development code using best practices.
The engineer will write performant, scalable, and testable code with the help of modern tools and participate in code reviews that uphold the principles of clean code and architecture.
Active participation in engineering design sessions and balancing speed and quality with a focus on tangible results is expected.
The engineer will also participate in the interview process to raise the technical bar and bring in new talent.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of professional software development experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
Excellent communication skills are required, with a minimum B2 English level.
Candidates should be comfortable operating in a sometimes ambiguous, fast-changing environment with rapid iteration cycles.
A track record of managing feature requests with realistic timelines is necessary.
Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies, as well as working within Agile teams, is required.
Candidates must be comfortable writing supporting documentation.
Technical expertise in Python programming language and familiarity with frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, Django, and Celery is essential.
Experience with APIs like GraphQL and Rest API, and data storage solutions such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and AWS RDS is required.
A working knowledge of the AWS stack, including Lambda and SQS, is necessary.
Experience with deployment tools such as Gitlab CI, Github Actions, Circle CI, Travis CI, or Jenkins is required.
Familiarity with Docker is also necessary.
Additional skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJs, React, Vue, or Svelte are viewed favorably but are not required.
