We are looking for a Backend Engineer with solid expertise in Python and Java to help build the powerful infrastructure behind our growing platform.
This is a fully remote opportunity for LATAM-based talent.
The role involves working on scalable, high-performance backend systems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using Python and Java.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of backend systems is a key part of the job.
You will write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Implementing best practices for API design, data security, and data handling is expected.
Participation in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes is required.
You will troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly and effectively.
Staying updated with emerging technologies and recommending improvements is part of the role.

Requirements:

Proven experience in backend development with Python and Java is required.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is necessary.
Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and integration is essential.
Familiarity with databases, both SQL and NoSQL, is required.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is advantageous.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary.
Strong communication skills in English are a must.
The candidate must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
A passion for building high-quality backend systems is essential.
The candidate should be adaptable and eager to learn new technologies.

This is a full-time, long-term position.
The role is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement.
