Description:
Our client, a leading innovator in the virtual reality (VR) industry, is seeking a talented Full-stack / Backend Engineer to join their team in London, England.
As a Full-stack / Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining the core systems that power the client's VR platforms.
Responsibilities include developing robust backend systems using Python, FastAPI, and Celery, designing scalable APIs, deploying applications on AWS, and collaborating with the frontend team to build engaging interfaces.
You will work on enhancing user interaction within VR environments, integrating third-party services, and utilizing advanced technologies like LLMs, embeddings, RAG, and vector databases for content discovery and personalization.
Other tasks involve code reviews, troubleshooting, staying updated on VR trends, contributing innovative ideas, and documenting work for maintainability.
Requirements:
Proficiency in Python with experience in FastAPI and Celery.
Knowledge of AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
Familiarity with Docker (optional), Next.js / React, TypeScript, and RESTful API design.
Understanding of LLMs, embeddings, RAG, and vector databases.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, experience in the VR industry, Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and data security best practices.
