Remote Backend Game Developer

Description:

• The ideal candidate will have extensive full-time server programming experience with games.
• As a backend developer, you will be responsible for backend API development of gaming titles and administration pages to operate the game.
• Responsibilities include design, development, coding, testing, debugging, estimating task completion, and writing technical design documents.
• Strong knowledge of backend development is required, with proficiency in languages such as JS (nodejs), Java, Go, C#, Python, Ruby, and a preference for C#.
• Familiarity with database modeling, normalization, and relational databases is essential.
• Candidates should be aware of performance bottlenecks and have strong debugging skills.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and documentation skills are necessary.
• Flexibility and adaptability to new technological changes as per project needs are important.
• The role involves working on several different projects using various technologies and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve optimal results for all game features.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a backend developer is required.
• Candidates must have been involved in the development of at least one large game title from start to finish.
• Proficiency in C#, Java, or any other object-oriented programming language is necessary.
• Knowledge of setting up CI/CD systems such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions is required.
• A passion for video games is essential.
