Doxel AI is focused on bringing computer vision to the construction industry to improve project management and reduce waste.
The Backend Software Engineer will play a crucial role in processing vast amounts of project data and providing insights through advanced technology.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining APIs for frontend applications, optimizing data pipelines, and managing data storage and processing stacks.
The engineer will collaborate with Product, Frontend Engineering, and Design teams to create high-performance solutions.
The role requires establishing strong design patterns and ensuring seamless interaction across teams and systems.
The engineer will also work with internal teams on LLM, CV, and ML automation pipelines.
The position emphasizes building reliable, low-maintenance software that supports both traditional backend processing and emerging in-browser computational paradigms.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in Python, C++, Typescript, or a functional programming language.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in backend or full-stack engineering within an agile, cloud-based environment is required.
At least 1 year of experience working with ETL pipelines and workflow orchestration tools like Airflow is necessary.
Experience with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure is essential.
Strong SQL expertise with deep knowledge of query optimization and table structures, particularly with PostgreSQL, is required.
Familiarity with WebAssembly (Wasm) and its applications in local-first data processing is a plus.
Experience with test-driven development and automated testing strategies is preferred.
Exposure to CV or ML development is a plus but not mandatory.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is required.

The base pay range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000, based on factors such as location, skill level, qualifications, competencies, and overall experience.
Options may be included as an additional part of the compensation package.
