Remote Backend Software Engineer

• The role involves collaborating with the Software Architect to design, develop, and deploy robust AWS applications, including data processing pipelines.
• Responsibilities include maintaining a secure AWS infrastructure, writing clean and efficient code, and troubleshooting infrastructure issues.
• The first 30 days will focus on getting oriented with the codebase and team integration.
• The next 60 days will involve contributing to API development and addressing technical debt.
• By the 90-day mark, the engineer will take ownership of a feature or subsystem and optimize API performance.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have 4+ years of experience in software development and engineering.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in developing and deploying AWS applications is necessary, with knowledge of services like Redshift, EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, and API Gateway.
• Proficiency in TypeScript or C# typed programming languages is required.
• Experience with AWS Serverless technologies, DevOps tools, and containerization is essential.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are necessary, including experience working with external partners.
• Nice-to-have qualifications include experience with video processing tools, AWS certifications, and familiarity with Kubernetes and ETL pipelines.
