The Backend Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain the backbone of BytePitch’s and its clients' software applications and systems.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining backend components and systems, creating efficient and secure APIs, optimizing databases, and building systems that can handle high-traffic loads.
The role requires identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, implementing security best practices, writing unit tests, and creating technical documentation.
Collaboration with Frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and other team members is essential to deliver integrated solutions.
Staying up-to-date with the latest backend development trends and best practices is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

Candidates must have more than 5 years of experience in similar functions.
Familiarity with service-oriented architectures, design patterns, and data structures is required.
Competence in test automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery is necessary.
Proficiency in Python and Javascript/Typescript is essential, along with solid experience with PyTest, NumPy, Pandas, and Flask or FastAPI.
Expertise in relational databases (SQL) and familiarity with containerization using Docker is required.
Experience with Unix/Linux environments and building highly concurrent, transactional, and resilient services is necessary.
Knowledge of agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and DevOps is important.
Candidates should demonstrate autonomy, proactivity, accountability, and organizational skills, as well as empathy, flexibility, adaptability, and teamwork abilities.
Fluency in English is required.

Two types of contracts are available: Employment & Service (B2B) Agreements.
A competitive salary will be offered based on experience.
