Remote Backend Software Engineer (Remote, Full-time)

Description:

• Transifex is seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer with a strong technical background and expertise in the AI/ML field.
• The role involves contributing to the success of customers like Hubspot, Vodafone, Eventbrite, Waze, and Datadog.
• Responsibilities include architecting, developing, and scaling the code for the Transifex SaaS platform.
• The engineer will collaboratively develop, integrate, and optimize Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance localization workflows.
• The position requires writing well-structured, maintainable, and high-performing code.
• The engineer will design and implement distributed systems using microservices architecture.
• Responsibilities also include deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production environments.
• The role involves working in a cross-functional team with Product Managers and Designers to shape and implement product requirements.
• The engineer must write code adhering to internal standards for best practices in high-scale web applications and ensure quality through code reviews.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be based within GMT and GMT+4 time zones.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a proven strong background is required.
• At least 3 years of work experience in the IT sector is necessary.
• Excellent communication skills in English, particularly in written form, are essential.
• A passion for and experience with the performance and scalability of web applications is required.
• Solid knowledge of database systems is necessary.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills are required.
• Experience with design patterns and code architecture is essential.
• Strong programming abilities, preferably in Python, are required.
• Experience with Django is a strong plus.
• Candidates must know how to write and maintain unit and system tests.
• Comfort in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment is necessary.
