The position is for a Senior Backend Software Engineer who will help improve the current application (Swile by Vee) by integrating better practices in both code and architecture.
The role involves making data-driven decisions to positively impact clients and users, ensuring the efficiency, stability, and performance of applications.
Responsibilities include producing high-quality, documented, efficient, tested, and maintainable code, improving observability and monitoring, and mentoring other team members.
The engineer will also influence technical discussions, propose architectural solutions, estimate delivery timelines, and work with ambiguous requirements to define solutions.
The role requires leading projects, ensuring timely deliveries, and participating in the recruitment process for engineers.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Professional experience in software engineering using Java or Kotlin is necessary.
Experience in architecture and development of distributed systems is required.
Familiarity with technologies such as Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar is essential.
Experience with both relational and non-relational databases is required.
Clear and effective communication skills are necessary.
Advanced or fluent English proficiency is required.
Preferred qualifications include a Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related fields, experience with microservices and event-driven architectures, and familiarity with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, or similar technologies.
