Remote Backend Software Engineer (Typescript)

Description:

• The Backend Software Engineer position at YLD in Portugal is a full-time role where you will be part of a client team building innovative products.
• You are expected to be curious, passionate, driven, and enthusiastic, proficient at problem-solving, and crafting scalable, resilient, and fault-tolerant architectures.
• Working in an Agile environment with a test-first mindset, you will collaborate with software engineers to integrate Infrastructure as Code practices into development workflows.
• Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure tooling using TypeScript and Pulumi, automating deployment processes, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of cloud-based systems, and participating in engineering initiatives.
• The recruitment process involves a 1st interview with the Talent team, a take-home challenge, and a technical interview with Senior Developers.

Requirements:

• Commercial experience with Typescript is required for this role.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Pulumi, Terraform, or AWS CloudFormation is necessary.
• Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is essential.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed version control systems (e.g., Git) is needed.
• Experience in testing products is a requirement.
