• Zyte is seeking a Backend Team Lead to join their globally distributed team of over 240 Zytans.
• The Platform team, consisting of frontend and backend developers, collaborates to design, build, and maintain customer-facing applications and tools.
• The role involves working on established products with a product-market fit, testing new opportunities, and focusing on business results.

• The Backend Team Lead will manage a team of software developers, support talent development, and foster a robust team culture.
• Responsibilities include talent development, identifying productivity bottlenecks, resolving critical incidents, maintaining a productive codebase, and enhancing customer experience.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in Python development and web application technologies like Django or FastAPI.
• Strong expertise in designing and optimizing RESTful APIs for high performance.
• Proficiency in cloud technologies such as AWS or GCP, and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with server-side web applications, data pipelines, and distributed message queues.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot critical production systems under load and ensure observability.
• Passion for software quality, security, and industry-standard tools like Git and JIRA.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging skills, and experience leading dynamic teams in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
