Description:
The Data Team at Talkiatry is a collaborative group that values open communication, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
The BI Engineer will support and enhance the data infrastructure, contribute to data-driven solutions, and provide valuable insights through impactful data products and visualizations.
Responsibilities include developing and optimizing SQL queries and data pipelines for efficient reporting and analytics using tools such as Snowflake, dbt, AWS, Fivetran, and Omni.
The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
The BI Engineer will conduct deep dives to identify actionable insights that support business decision-making and assist in the execution and analysis of A/B testing.
Ensuring adherence to healthcare data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA) is a key responsibility.
The position requires clear documentation of analysis, methodologies, and results for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The BI Engineer will also mentor junior analysts by reviewing their work, providing feedback, and fostering their technical growth.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Engineer, Data Analyst, or in a similar role.
Proficiency in writing efficient and complex SQL queries is required.
A solid understanding of data modeling concepts and methodologies is necessary.
Familiarity with dbt is expected.
Competence in at least one BI visualization tool (such as Omni, Tableau, or Looker) is required.
A strong understanding of data visualization principles and dashboard design is essential.
Familiarity with cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is needed.
Basic experience or exposure to A/B testing and experimental analysis is preferred.
Understanding or previous exposure to healthcare data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA) is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills are necessary to translate technical findings clearly to business stakeholders.
