Description:
- Our client is looking for a rock star Big Data Engineer to support an internal business stakeholder with their big data capabilities.
- The engineer will be responsible for supporting technical initiatives in data engineering, data analytics, and software integration.
- The candidate must come from a true big data environment run on the AWS Cloud.
- Python coding and SQL querying skills must be top-notch since this position is very technical.
- The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience and is considered a junior-mid data engineer.
Requirements:
- A BS in Computer Science, Math, Physics, and/or Electrical Engineering is required.
- Expertise in Python coding is essential.
- The candidate must have expertise in structuring complex, advanced queries in SQL.
- Experience with test-driven development is required.
- The ability to build unit tests is necessary.
Benefits:
- The position is fully remote within the continental US, with work outside of the US not permitted.
- It is a long-term contract to hire opportunity.
- The position is available for W2 or 1099, but no C2C arrangements are allowed.
