Description:
OpenX is seeking a Big Data Engineer III to join their core data development team in Krakow, with a focus on designing large-scale data processing systems.
The role involves working on an enterprise platform that handles billions of ad requests daily, producing over 1PB of data each day.
Responsibilities include collaborating with Product to drive project requirements, analyzing and improving application efficiency, scalability, and stability, and removing unnecessary complexity.
The position requires participation in all aspects of agile application development, with a strong emphasis on scalability, performance, and reliability.
All interview stages will be conducted remotely.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in Java, Scala, or Python development.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in Big Data systems development is required.
Experience in building complex data pipelines using data transformation tools like dbt or Dataform and SQL is essential.
Expertise in using BigQuery or other data warehouses, including performance tuning and monitoring, is necessary.
Understanding of data orchestration tools like Airflow is required to extend it with new data pipelines and troubleshoot operational issues.
Candidates should have cloud experience with Google Cloud Platform or AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
A solid understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and other DevOps practices is expected.
Fluency in algorithms, data structures, and platforms is required.
Experience with database system design, RDBMS, and/or NoSQL is necessary.
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, physics, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is a plus.
Proficiency in Polish and English is mandatory.
