Remote Business Data Analyst

Description:

• Tech Firefly is looking to hire a Data Analyst for our client's Payments Platform Analytics team.
• The team performs analysis and provides meaningful insights to stakeholders.
• As a Business Data Analyst, you will leverage your data extraction skills to provide data-driven insights and analytical and dashboarding support.
• You will work closely with the Product Analyst team and with many other Payments Platform stakeholders.
• Your role on the team is to help the team gain better insights, inform better decision making from the available data, and gather data for various regulatory reports.
• Responsibilities include performing complex queries and analyses to derive insights that help improve products, designing, developing, and maintaining reliable metrics and dashboards, conducting repeatable and ad-hoc analyses to measure and interpret trends, defining, collecting, and tracking key business metrics, and documenting critical paths taken in workflow to create core processes.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience is required.
• You must have 5+ years of analytical experience working with data to pull reports, identify trends, and effectively communicate insights/recommendations.
• Strong SQL proficiency is necessary, along with experience extracting and manipulating data with query/scripting languages.
• A high level of comfort creating dashboards in Mode, Tableau, or comparable software is expected.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets modeling skills (e.g., pivot tables, macros, etc.) and proficiency in Google Workspace are required.
• You should have the ability to manage projects and interact cross-functionally with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in dealing with users at all levels (technical and non-technical) are essential.
