Remote Business Data Analyst

Description:

• We are seeking a Business Data Analyst to join our team and take a leading role in implementing robust data solutions for our clients.
• You will develop and design comprehensive accounting data requirements, ensuring seamless automation of journal entries.
• Your role will be critical in ensuring accuracy, completeness, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes while collaborating cross-functionally to drive key system initiatives and improvements.
• Key responsibilities include working with cross-functional teams, developing accounting data requirements, monitoring data quality, conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), writing and optimizing SQL queries, collaborating with Product and Engineering teams, assessing the impact of new product designs, supporting automation of journal entries, and handling ad hoc analyses and projects.

Requirements:

• You must have the ability to develop accounting requirements for upstream data.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in revenue accounting, data analytics, and/or business intelligence is required.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 Revenue Recognition is essential, with knowledge of IFRS being a plus.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL skills are necessary, with the ability to handle large volumes of transactional data; Python experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• You should be able to adapt to changing work environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills are necessary, with the ability to interact with all levels of management and cross-functional teams.
