Description:

  • Braze is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join their Business Intelligence team, which is responsible for managing Braze’s primary BI solutions and promoting a data-driven culture.
  • The role involves working with internal customers to understand and resolve complex data issues, ensuring customers are informed about the status of their issues.
  • The analyst will utilize troubleshooting tools, such as running SQL in Snowflake and examining source data, to help resolve customer issues.
  • Documentation of technical work and research in a knowledge base is required.
  • Collaboration with other teams to resolve moderately complex customer issues is essential.
  • The analyst will support the organization by responding to questions about data tools and assisting in the administration of Braze’s primary Business Intelligence solutions.
  • Daily review of data quality alerts and initial triage is part of the responsibilities.
  • Building dashboards from existing data sets based on wireframes provided by stakeholders is also expected.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 2+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analysis.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of SQL skills and proficiency in database management systems such as Snowflake, Redshift, or PostgreSQL is required.
  • Experience with data visualization tools is necessary, with a preference for candidates who have experience with Looker.
  • The ideal candidate should be a fast learner, self-starter, go-getter, and intellectually curious.
  • Experience working within an Agile team and project management experience are preferred.
  • Familiarity with Looker, including writing moderately complex LookML, is a plus.
