The Business Intelligence Analyst (aka The Data Storyteller) will transform data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.
This role involves creating compelling data visualizations and reports that tell the story behind the numbers.
The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop dashboards, analyze trends, and provide insights impacting various departments, including marketing and operations.
Key responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining dynamic dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
The analyst will conduct in-depth analyses of business performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
They will support data-driven decision-making by collaborating with key business units to understand their needs and deliver insights that drive strategic initiatives.
Ensuring data quality and accuracy is crucial, requiring close work with data engineering teams to maintain data integrity.
The analyst will generate ad-hoc reports for various stakeholders and optimize BI tools and processes for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
Training and mentoring teams on BI tools will be part of the role to promote a data-driven culture across the organization.

Requirements:

Extensive experience with BI and data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Qlik is required.
Strong SQL skills are necessary to query and manipulate data from various databases, handling large datasets and performing complex data analysis.
A solid understanding of business metrics and KPIs is essential, with the ability to translate data into insights impacting revenue, cost, and operational efficiency.
The candidate must possess problem-solving and critical thinking skills to develop data-driven solutions and interpret data clearly for decision-making.
Excellent communication skills are required to translate complex data insights into simple, compelling narratives for non-technical audiences.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, or a related field is required, with equivalent experience in business intelligence or analytics considered.
Certifications in BI tools, such as Tableau Certified Data Analyst or Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, are a plus.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics is required, with a proven track record of creating impactful insights.
Experience with relational databases and managing data from cloud-based platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is advantageous.
Prior experience in specific industries like finance, healthcare, or e-commerce is beneficial but not mandatory.
