Description:
A Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the company's business intelligence solutions.
This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, gather requirements, and build data solutions that support data-driven decision making.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining data warehousing and BI solutions.
The role involves building and maintaining data models and data marts that support self-service analytics for end-users.
The BI Engineer will develop and maintain ETL pipelines to ingest and transform data from various sources into a format suitable for analysis.
The position requires developing and maintaining dashboards and reports that provide insights into key business metrics.
The BI Engineer will create data visualizations that communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner.
Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency is a key responsibility, along with troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues.
The role includes collaborating with the Talent team to engage in hiring and recruitment processes, identifying and interviewing top talent.
The BI Engineer will provide guidance and mentorship to team members and play an integral role in shaping the company culture.
The position requires availability for on-call duty during peak periods to support critical issues outside of regular working hours.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required; a Master’s Degree is preferred.
Candidates should have 3+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 1+ years of experience with a Master’s Degree.
Experience in designing and developing data marts and models, ETL pipelines, and BI solutions is necessary.
Proficiency in working with databases such as SQL Server and BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Metabase is required.
Candidates must have proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java).
Familiarity with modern data modeling, messaging, and orchestration tools such as DBT, Kafka, and Airflow is expected.
Experience with version control solutions such as Git is required.
A strong understanding of data architecture and data processing methodologies is essential.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues are necessary.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team are required.
Benefits:
The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $125,000.
