Description:
Cohere Health is seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer Co-Op for the period of January to June 2025.
The role involves automating data infrastructure gaps and converting data into actionable insights.
The BI Engineer will collaborate with developers and product owners to construct reporting products while adhering to best practices and standards.
Responsibilities include designing and developing data models, working with large datasets, creating and improving business reports and dashboards using BI tools like Tableau, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
The position emphasizes data quality and validation, as well as identifying opportunities for process automation to enhance reporting efficiency.

Requirements:
Candidates must be passionate about improving the U.S. healthcare system and ensuring optimal patient care.

Familiarity with SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server is required.
Exposure to BI tools, preferably Tableau, is a plus.
Experience with programming languages like Python or R is advantageous.
Knowledge of AWS tools, including Athena, Airflow, and Sagemaker, is beneficial.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with large datasets are necessary.
Prior experience in healthcare and life sciences is a plus but not mandatory.
Candidates must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or another quantitative or engineering field.
