Panoptyc is on a mission to revolutionize loss prevention using visual AI and manual reviewers to help retailers detect theft in over 15,000 markets across the United States.
The company is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer to design, develop, and optimize data infrastructure during a high-growth phase.
The role involves architecting data pipelines, implementing processes, and creating scalable data models to power business intelligence solutions.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing data pipelines, developing scalable data models, creating and maintaining BI processes, building automated data validation frameworks, developing APIs for data access, implementing data monitoring tools, and collaborating with data scientists and analysts.

Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering or BI development is required.
Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and data processing frameworks are essential.
Experience with ETL development and data pipeline orchestration tools is necessary.
Proven ability to optimize data models and query performance at scale is required.
Experience working with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift is needed.
Knowledge of data modeling techniques and dimensional modeling is important.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail are required.
The ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment is essential.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are necessary.
Availability to work 40 hours per week on Eastern Standard Time (EST) is required.
