Description:

  • Telnyx is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join the Revenue Operations team in a remote capacity.
  • The role involves designing and owning the data architecture for the Telnyx Growth organization.
  • The engineer will reshape the growth data infrastructure using expertise in SQL, Python, and modern data tooling.
  • Responsibilities include collaborating with the data engineering team to build data infrastructure, developing ETL pipelines, ensuring data quality and governance, and integrating data with Tableau.
  • The engineer will work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • The position requires autonomous project management and a commitment to continuous improvement in data practices.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or BI development is required.
  • Proficiency in SQL is essential, with the ability to write complex queries and optimize them for performance.
  • Experience in programming with Python or a similar scripting language for data processing tasks is necessary.
  • Direct experience with Tableau is a significant plus, along with familiarity with other BI tools.
  • A solid understanding of data modeling concepts and experience structuring a data warehouse or analytics database is required.
  • Familiarity with data governance principles and practices ensuring data accuracy and consistency is important.
  • The candidate must demonstrate autonomy and drive, managing time effectively and delivering results independently.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills are necessary to work with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to overlap at least 5 hours daily with US Central Time (CST) business hours is required.
  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not strictly required if practical experience is equivalent.
