Remote C++ Backend Sofware Engineer

Description:

• Jitterbit is seeking a software engineer to join the Platform team to work on their iPaaS and API Management platform.
• The role involves building, designing, and architecting new capabilities on the platform using technologies like C++ or Java, Nginx, Tomcat, Kafka, Elasticsearch, MySQL, Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Responsibilities include creating robust, scalable, and distributed systems that operate flawlessly 24x7x365.

Requirements:

• Must have excellent written and verbal English language skills.
• Enjoy helping and mentoring others, possess excellent communication skills, and can work in a distributed team.
• Self-driven, capable of working on key initiatives, making data-driven decisions, and believing in the best idea strategy.
• 5+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed applications and strong experience in multi-tenant SaaS applications.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with API and Microservices development, Cloud-based architectures/design patterns, C++, Linux, SQL Server, MySQL, Hibernate, JDBI, Apache Server, Apache Tomcat, Nginx, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience with Elasticsearch, Kafka, and LUA scripting is a plus.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
