Remote C++ Software Developer

Description:

• The C++ software developer at DotActiv is responsible for translating application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
• They design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C++ code.
• Ensuring the best performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications is a key responsibility.
• Identifying bottlenecks and bugs, and devising solutions to these problems is part of the role.
• Maintaining code quality, organisation, and automatisation is also a crucial aspect of the job.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years relevant development experience in an IT development environment.
• Grade 12 with higher grade Mathematics at a minimum of 70%.
• A relevant IT certification from a recognised issuing authority.
• Proficient in C++ with a good knowledge of its ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Ability to write reusable C++ libraries.
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server (PostgreSQL knowledge would be advantageous).
• Experience in implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git.
