C++ software developers utilize a technology stack that includes the MFC Framework to deliver standalone application solutions that interact with Microsoft SQL or PostgreSQL databases.
Developers are expected to translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable C++ code.
Ensuring optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications is crucial.
Developers must identify bottlenecks and bugs, devising solutions to these problems.

Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years of relevant development experience and expertise in an IT development environment is required.
Candidates must have a Grade 12 certificate as per national senior certificate requirements, including higher grade Mathematics with a minimum of 70%.
A relevant IT certification from a recognized authority is necessary, such as A+, N+, MCSE, MCP, MCT, VCP, VCSP, etc.
Proficiency in C++ and a good knowledge of its ecosystems is essential.
A strong understanding of object-oriented programming is required.
Candidates should possess skills for writing reusable C++ libraries.
An understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable applications is necessary.
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server is required, and knowledge of PostgreSQL would be advantageous.
Experience in implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests is expected.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, is required.

The position offers a Cost to Company salary ranging between R30k and R45k, depending on qualifications and experience.
This is a remote-working position, providing flexibility to be based anywhere in South Africa.
