Remote C/C++ Unreal Engine Developer (SpacetimeDB) at Clockwork Labs

Description:

SpacetimeDB is seeking an expert C/C++ Unreal Engine Developer to join their team and enhance accessibility for game developers.
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining C/C++ and Unreal SDKs, as well as creating a seamless Unreal Engine integration.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining the C/C++ client SDK, module library, and performance testing for C/C++.
The developer will also maintain the Unreal Engine SDK, implement code generation for C/C++ client types in Rust, and assist clients in debugging issues.
Additional tasks include implementing client execution of WebAssembly modules, contributing to automatic lag compensation and rollback, and developing user-friendly documentation and tutorials.

Candidates must have expertise in C/C++ and Unreal game development.
Experience with Unreal plugin development and Blueprints/C++ integration is required.
Familiarity with the Unreal build system and code generation is necessary.
Applicants should have experience with Unreal Engine’s networking layer and have developed multiple multiplayer games in Unreal.
Previous experience with Rust is a bonus, but the ability to learn Rust for code generation is required.
Experience with custom build tools, code generation tools, distributed systems, or databases is a plus.

The position is fully remote, and candidates from anywhere in the world are welcome, provided they can attend meetings during core collaboration times between 8am and 12pm PST.
Compensation is fair and equitable, based on market location and individual qualifications, with a base pay range for mid-senior level applicants in the U.S. expected to be between $110,000 and $180,000 USD per year.
Offers for international applicants will be based on regional norms and location requirements.
The total compensation package may include equity awards, medical, financial, and other benefits, with details provided upon receiving an employment offer.
