Description:
Freenome is a high-growth biotech company focused on developing tests to detect cancer through standard blood draws.
The company utilizes a multiomics platform that combines tumor and non-tumor signals with machine learning to identify cancer in its earliest stages.
Freenome's first screening test targets colorectal cancer (CRC) and advanced adenomas.
The Clinical Data Scientist will join the Clinical Data Science team and will be responsible for managing, reconciling, and interpreting clinical data.
The role involves cleaning, organizing, and ingesting clinical data from Freenome’s clinical studies.
The candidate will participate in designing and implementing new clinical informatics tools and integrating them with existing systems.
Responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy and consistency of metadata associated with patient samples and analyzing clinical data to monitor enrollment and data collection trends.
The position requires collaboration with stakeholders to enhance the value of Freenome’s data store.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s or graduate degree in clinical informatics, bioinformatics, data science, computer science, or a relevant scientific field is required.
A minimum of 5 years of related experience is typically required with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD; or equivalent work experience.
Direct experience in processing, analyzing, and integrating data from multiple sources in clinical research or healthcare IT environments is necessary.
Proficiency in R or Python and familiarity with SQL is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaboration with clinical and technical staff.
The candidate must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment is required.
Benefits:
The US target salary range for this position is $118,150.00 - $180,500.00.
New hires will be eligible for pre-IPO equity and cash bonuses.
