Description:
DocMe360 is seeking a Clinical Test Data Engineer to join the Clinical Decision Support Collaborative (CDSC) Shared Support Services (SSS) team.
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining a program that creates and manages contextually relevant test data for Veteran Affairs (VA) healthcare clinical applications.
The program will ultimately populate a Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) test environment.
The engineer will utilize Synthea, an open-source Data-Oriented Differential Testing tool, to ensure the precision and dependability of clinical decision applications within the VA healthcare ecosystem.
Responsibilities include manually creating test data until the program is operational, collaborating with the VistA SME to automate test data creation, and ensuring the data reflects clinical decision use cases.
The engineer will implement data versioning and tracking mechanisms, manage changes in test data, and develop archiving and restoration processes.
They will also create user-friendly reports and documentation, support CDSC teams in resolving test data-related challenges, and ensure adherence to VA regulations in collaboration with the CDSC security team.
This position is contract-to-hire.
Requirements:
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is required.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in automating contextually relevant test data is necessary.
Candidates should have working knowledge and understanding of Scala.
Command over data anonymization and de-identification techniques is essential.
Strong database skills, including SQL query optimization and data manipulation, are required.
Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills are necessary for this role.
A collaborative teamwork approach in a dynamic, cross-functional environment is expected.
Preferred:
Knowledge and hands-on experience with CPRS and VA healthcare systems is highly desirable.
Demonstrated expertise with Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) systems and Synthea is recommended.
Familiarity with VA-specific clinical data standards and the healthcare domain is preferred.
Familiarity with MUMPS is also advantageous.
