Planet Technologies is seeking a highly motivated individual to join their team as a Cloud Architect, supporting impactful projects that benefit the country.
The Cloud Architect will have extensive experience in designing and deploying hybrid cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS), covering both commercial and government platforms.
This role involves defining architectural standards, integrating emerging technologies, and guiding cross-functional teams to deliver robust, secure, and scalable systems.
A deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and strict adherence to regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST, PCI-DSS) is essential to ensure solutions meet rigorous security standards from design through deployment.
The Cloud Architect will collaborate with stakeholders, technical leads, and security teams to translate business needs into innovative, secure, and compliant architectures that align with organizational goals.
Success in this role requires excellence in hybrid cloud environments, proactive management of security and compliance challenges, and a focus on secure-by-design engineering.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s Degree in a related technology field with appropriate background and knowledge of current industry technologies/standards for enterprise datacenters and cloud services is required, or ten (10) years of work experience with cloud and hybrid solutions.
Experience with compliance standards such as NIST 800-171 is necessary.
Preferred professional licenses/certifications include Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, Cybersecurity Architect Expert, SC-100, SC-900, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP, CISM, CCSP certification, and CIPP, CISA, and PMP are considered a plus.
Candidates must be driven by satisfaction in a job well done and possess the drive, knowledge, and skills to be successful in this role.
US Citizenship (clearable) is required due to Federal Agency Clearance Requirements, which may necessitate up to a 10-year background investigation.

Salaries for Architects at Planet Technologies range from $140,000 to $225,000, with several factors impacting the final pay offered, including experience, clearance level, and education.
