Description:
66degrees is seeking a senior contractor for a 21-week remote assignment with the potential to extend.
The role involves identifying customer priorities, technical objections, and design strategies within the Google ecosystem to drive business growth and resolve blockers.
Responsibilities include leading requirements gathering and project scoping, solution design, problem-solving, and architecture diagramming.
The contractor will provide domain expertise around public cloud and enterprise technology.
Recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure will be required to implement complete solutions for clients.
The role also includes leading planning, status, and standup meetings.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of GCP experience, with AWS experience being beneficial.
A GCP Architect Certification is required, and other certifications for Google, Kubernetes, or Terraform are a plus.
A minimum of 2 years as a GCP Architect is necessary.
Experience in building, architecting, designing, and implementing distributed global cloud-based systems is essential.
Extensive experience with security (zero trust) and networking in cloud environments is required.
Candidates should be capable of advising and implementing CI/CD practices using tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Cloud Build, and Cloud Deploy, as well as concepts like GitOps and GitFlow.
Experience in containerizing workloads using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and Artifact Registry is necessary.
Knowledge of structured Cloud Architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premises-to-cloud migration deployments and roadmaps is required.
Candidates must have the ability to work cross-functionally and engage and influence audiences.
Excellent organizational skills and customer-facing communication are essential.
Proficiency in documentation and knowledge transfer using remote meetings, written documents, and technical diagrams slide decks is required.
Experience in implementing hybrid connectivity using VPN or Cloud Interconnect is a plus.
A background in professional services/consulting is desired.
