Description:
The role of Cloud Architect is 100% remote and open to EU or UK-based applicants only.
The successful candidate will support strategic directions for cloud infrastructure and drive operational delivery for over 600 global customers in various segments including Luxury Apparel, Outdoor Sports, Footwear, Cosmetics, and Food and Beverage.
The Cloud Architect will lead multiple teams of cloud engineers to enhance service quality and customer experience.
Responsibilities include understanding customers' cloud estates, collaborating with architects and SMEs, developing innovative solutions, drafting technical solutions for migration and deployments, and advocating for new features to improve operational efficiency.
The position requires keeping up to date with market trends, defining long-term cloud strategy, and consulting on optimal environment designs.
The Cloud Architect will also manage budgets, provide leadership and mentoring, and ensure business functionality and SLAs are met.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, MCA, or a related field is mandatory.
A minimum of 12 years of experience in architecture, dev ops, and cloud ops roles within a software or services company is required.
Subject matter expertise on GCP or AWS, including Network & Security, Compute & Storage, Backup & DR, Monitoring, Governance & Cost Management, migration, and DevOps is essential.
Rich experience in migration projects and knowledge of migration tools like CloudEndure and MGN is necessary.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to work effectively across organizations.
Experience with infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet is needed.
Hands-on experience with primary Cloud services on GCP or AWS is required.
Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker administration is necessary.
Proven ability to build technical relationships with senior IT executives and adapt to new technologies is essential.
Presentation skills with comfort in addressing both large and small audiences are required.
Mandatory certifications include AWS Certified Solution Architect – Professional, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
