We are looking for a Cloud Backend Developer to join one of our most important clients located in Lisbon, in a hybrid or remote mode.
The deliverables include the development and implementation of backend applications in the Cloud, development of REST APIs, ensuring quality parameters in testing and delivery, managing applications and data in the cloud, and ensuring technical and functional business requirements.
Responsibilities also include collaborating on the design, development, and optimization of serverless AWS for energy data pipelines, integrating smart devices using AWS IoT Core, managing SQL and NoSQL databases, designing end-to-end data pipelines, architecting scalable data lakes, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge on data engineering trends and technologies.
Requirements:
Up to 5 years of experience in the role for which the service is being contracted.
A degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a relevant field.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Proven experience with Node.JS and development in AWS.
Experience with AWS SDK for JavaScript (Node.JS) and AWS services such as CloudFormation, Lambda, EC2, VPC, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, SNS, SQS, Route53.
Familiarity with relational databases, such as MySQL.
Desired AWS certifications, including AWS Certified Developer - Associate and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with great attention to detail and organizational ability.
Advanced programming skills in NodeJS, with knowledge in Python being valued.
Experience in implementing AWS technologies and interest in data engineering, with knowledge in AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, and DBT being valued.
Experience with SQL databases (e.g., Amazon RDS and Amazon Aurora) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Amazon DynamoDB).
Experience and/or knowledge in data models and tools for data integration and processing in the Cloud, primarily AWS, with Azure and GCP being valued.
Fluency in English and flexibility in the learning process with a strong critical sense.
Understanding of networks, system architecture, and microservices architecture.
Experience in developing RESTful APIs and proven experience in Agile Scrum and/or Kanban projects.
Knowledge of SQL language, Office tools, particularly advanced Excel.
Analytical skills, communication, interpersonal relationships, creativity, initiative, and proactivity are the competencies we prioritize.
